Auction includes KMD 150 unit and mounting tray as seen in the above pictures.
This item was removed from an aircraft that underwent a major avionics and instrument panel upgrade. It was removed in a reported serviceable condition. However, there are no guarantees as to the accuracy or serviceability of this item. Therefore it is priced accordingly and will sell to the highest bidder. If there was any damage or known discrepancies, they would be identified and described in the auction listing. I was able to power up this unit and verify the display, knobs and buttons function. I was not able to connect an GPS antenna to verify the internal functions of the GPS. The internal battery will require replacement. The Jeppesen database expired 1-13-2011.
Representations: This item has been visually inspected and looks good. It is sold as is but is guaranteed to be as represented, and your satisfaction is important to me. Airworthiness, and applicability to a specific aircraft or it’s component, are the responsibility of the buyer. At the least this should be considered as a repairable core, but with the high probability that there are zero defects and it is fully functional. I am legally unable to officially bench test this item and provide a serviceable tag. I can only go off of the information provided to me by the previous owner and the avionics technician that removed the item. If there were any known defects or any doubt as to the serviceability of the item, I would have stated them and have them apparent in the listing pictures, or I would not list the item and have properly disposed of it.
I'm not trying to hide anything or take advantage of anyone. My intent is to provide serviceable used items at an extremely discounted price to the general aviation consumer. All of the used parts I have sold so far have gone for 40%-95% below retail prices. I have had zero complaints about my other listings, the function of sold equipment, serviceability of said items or issues with shipping.
