A friend of mine gave these to me for a trip that never happened years ago so I would call them new old stock never opened.  According to the label, this can be used as a sleep sack or sleeping bag liner and is extremely light and roomy.  Use in hotels, youth hostels, huts, boats, as a sleeping bag in warm climates, as a sleeping bag liner (adds 5.3°F to the temperature rating of your sleeping bag), for overnights with friends or as a guest sheet.
