Its 3D construction brings level support out to each edge and its airtight, durable laminated material has a soft, stretchy tricot surface so you won’t slide around at night.
High-grade open-cell foam with R-value of 8.1
This pad has nearly the highest R-value of all the sleeping pads REI sells (the higher the R-value, the better you can expect a pad to insulate you from cold surfaces). The open-cell polyurethane foam here provides efficient insulation and the horizontal air channels cored through the foam help cut weight, so you stay warm and supported and the pad stays light and maneuverable.
Self-inflating + updated larger deflate valve
The pad self-inflates during setup, and then you can use the included minipump to customize the cushioning to your liking. The intake valve prevents air from escaping during inflation, and the large deflation valve lets air out faster than ever before when it’s time to pack up.
