Introduction of function keys
1. Press the switch. After starting you will enter the measurement screen directly.
2. In the startup state press the menu key to enter the menu mode.
3. Menu options are zero adjustment correction temperature unit selection automatic shutdown time setting and backlight on / off setting respectively.
4. Press the toggle key to toggle the option and press the confirm key to enter the menu option.
5. Once in the menu option press the toggle key to toggle the option and press the confirm key to confirm the option. You will return to the main menu screen.
6. Press the menu key to exit the menu screen and return to the measurement waiting screen.
Test sample
1. Start up and enter the measurement screen directly.
2. Clean the surface of the prism with fresh water.
3. Send a measurement sample of about 0.3 ml to the measurement pond (about 2/3 sampling pond depth).
4. Press the 'Measure' button to measure and display the measured value.
5. If you want to measure another new sample just wash the measuring pond first and repeat steps 2-4.
6. When finished pour water into the measuring pond and dry with a soft paper or cloth.
Warm tip: When adding the sample to the measuring cell do not use a metal spoon to avoid scratching the surface of the prism. Place the sample in the measuring pond for a while before measuring.
Error message
1. During zero calibration the measuring cell cannot be filled with water or other solutions instead of water. 'Calibration error' is displayed during calibration.
2. 'Low battery' is displayed at startup indicating that the battery voltage is not sufficient and a new battery needs to be replaced.
3. If the measured value of the sample exceeds 53% it cannot be measured.
4. The surface temperature of the prism cannot be measured below 10 ℃ or above 40 ℃.
