    Description

This unusual celluloid necklace has floral carved beads that range in color from cream to pale peach to tan. Some of the beads have multiple colors, which makes me think that the celluloid has been tinted or overdyed. There is definitely dark color that has been applied to accent the carving. The beads graduate in size with the largest beads in front. They are accented with clear glass bicone beads. The necklace has a really pretty filigree style hooking clasp. To open it, pinch the ends of the hook piece in and gently pull the box piece straight back. The necklace measures about 19" long including hardware.
Condition is generally excellent with no major issues to note. Although I think it was probably restrung at some point, the beads are strung fairly loosely. The stringing feels secure, but in time you may need to get it redone. I recommend storing this necklace flat and not hanging to preserve the string. The clasp is very secure.
