The RX-110 has greatly enhanced circuitry that provides for more accurate traffic detection with fewer false alerts. This proven technology eliminates host transponder detection while providing many layers of filtering to avoid false readings. Using a pilot-preferred super-bright red LED, easily seen in direct sunlight, has enhanced the 2- digit LED that displays the mileage to the closest aircraft.
The housing has been upgraded to a high-Impact, dense-core ABS with a high heat Index to prevent warping under extreme heat conditions, such as in direct sunlight in a hot aircraft cabin. TPAS is still the only truly portable traffic detection system offering the ability to accept power from the aircraft or the Internal battery bay. Battery life has been extended to up to 11 hours. In addition, RX-110 enhancements reduce spurious emissions to even lower levels than ever, far below technical standards.
This donated item is untested. The face is clean and appears to be in very good to excellent condition. The case shows some wear and scuffing/scratching, especially on the bottom, and has
Velcro
strips affixed to its bottom. The battery compartment shows corrosion on some of the contacts and would need to be properly cleaned.
