Upcycled, Genuine 1940's BAKELITE! Red Orange Yellow Poker Chips+ OOAK Necklace

One of a kind and ALL GENUINE BAKELITE! A different style from my original design!
This necklace is a group of 9, dangling, full size Bakelite Poker chips, each with a different Bakelite adornment on top. These 9 are flanked by 2 pairs of smaller Bakelite chips, one pair smaller than the other.
This one features a rare INLAID Bakelite poker chip.
No 2 chips or adornments are the same! All this Bakelite started it's life some 80-90 years ago as something else, not this necklace. Besides Poker chips, there are cabochons both round and square, a guitar pick, a mah jongg coin, bingo markers, tiddley-winks, etc.
An eye-catching CHUNKY necklace done with GENUINE, SIMICHROME TESTED BAKELITE
, dangling from a BLACK PLASTIC CHAIN.
Everything except the chain, clasp and jump rings is genuine, vintage Bakelite.
The necklace is 21" long with a hook closure, it can be shortened, just put the hook closer thru a different chain link. The poker chips are 1 1/2" in

I have been collecting Bakelite bits and pieces for years (I just love the look, feel and sound) and have begun concocting these

necklaces when I am pleased with a combination of bits. All the components (poker chips, buckles, buttons, mah-jongg coins, guitar picks, slides, tiddlywinks, etc.) are genuine to the 30's-40's and are Simichrome tested Bakelite. All the Bakelite has had a long life already as something else before it's new life as a spectacular necklace, so there will be some imperfections and wear...CALL IT PATINA! I
have
polished the pieces to reveal all that glorious color. Just think, the poker chips have been played with for 60-70 years since they were made. Oh, the stories they could tell ;0)!
