VINTAGE BAKELITE AMBER BUTTERSCOTCH 15" GRADUATED BEADED CHOKER HAND KNOTTED

Description

Here for your consideration is a vintage bakelite butterscotch graduated beaded choker.  The largest bead (front and center) is the largest and darker than the rest (24.5 mm).  After the largest bead, the color is consistent for all the beads.  Each bead becomes smaller on both sides from 21.5mm, 18.2mm, 14.8mm. 13.7mm, 13.4mm, 12mm (last 3 on each side) and 10mm (last 2 on each side).  Total length is 15 5/8 inches, not including the closer which adds 7/8 of an inch.  Total weight is 64 grams.  There are no seams or mold marks to the beads.  Rubbed vigorously and emits the distinctive bakelite scent.  Each bead stays in place from hand-knotting.  The closer is machined interlaced gold plated and opens (press on one end) and secures nicely (insert through hole and clicks shut).  Beads appear slightly darker in person than what is shown in the photos.
