Vintage Marbled Red Bakelite Necklace with 25 Marquise Cut Bakelite Discs and Red Bakelite Link Chain with Hook Closure
Age: Vintage Estate Jewelry, circa 1930-1940 - Art Deco Era
Size: Length is approximately 18".    The pointed elliptical discs are 1 5/8" length x 1/2" width at the center x 1/8" depth.
Total Weight of Necklace: 2.7 oz on the postal scale.
Condition: The tip of the hook clasp has been broken off. The pictures show that there is a space in-between the first top left bakelite disc and the second top left bakelite disc which has some loss of the red spacers.
Retro heaven - this necklace is like candy - absolutely yummy...and very comfortable to wear. When in direct light, the colors of Bakelite pop brighter, and when not in direct sunlight, the colors are deep and rich. The red color Bakelite in this necklace is marbled with a bit of yellow, so we get a cherry red shade for our eye candy.
