Vintage Small Silver Repousse Pill Snuff Trinket Box Victorian? Unmarked
Masurements: 1.5"(4 cm) x 1.5" (4 cm) x 3/4" (2 cm)
The photos represent the condition.
I was so wary of posting this item as silver but was surprised to find antique silver items online without markings.  I did the magnet test and the box had no magnet pull whatsoever.  The box also has a lot of scratches but I don't see another colored metal underneath.
It has a slanted piece of silver soldered inside which looks like it was added later.(pics 3 and 4).
The original owner of this box passed away about 50 years ago but no one else in the family could tell me anything about it.  It's obvious that this box traveled around alot with her and she was an avid European traveler which is where I think she bought it.
I would really appreciate getting information from anyone who knows something about this box and whether you see additional evidence of it being silver...or think it's not and why.
I found a similar boxes online in much nicer condition selling for - >0 so I believe I've priced it accordingly.  My refund policy would also allow the buyer to return the item if not satusfied with the purchase.
